The Tuckerton Old Home Society is a non-profit cemetery management business, real estate broker and property management and cemetery provider. Located in the small, quaint town of Tuckerton, New Jersey, the area literally asks visitors to step back into the past to enjoy true small-town comfort and friendship. Though small, Tuckerton is big on heart, friendliness, and compassion, and grieving family members and loved ones have utilized the services and property of Tuckerton Old Home Society and Greenwood cemetery for generations.
Tuckerton is a small town, a hamlet with a rich historical background and history, serving Little Egg Harbor and surrounding communities in this portion of New Jersey. Three small cemeteries in Tuckerton are dedicated to offering grieving family members and loved ones access to a variety of locations and services for the memorialization of the deceased.
Since the 1960s, Tuckerton Old Home Society, located in Ocean County, has been a solid presence in the local community environment. Greenwood Cemetery, the largest of Tuckerton’s three cemeteries, is located on Route 539 or at North Green Street. Recently sold by the Tuckerton Old Home Society, Greenwood Cemetery has served area residents for generations. As an older cemetery, it is filled with upright monuments, markers and memorials, surrounded by brick pillars and wrought iron fencing.
The cemetery property sprawls through dozens of acres, with clusters of mature greenery in the center. Long and well-groomed pathways offer access to every corner of the property.
Tuckerton and Tuckerton Greenwood Cemetery may be accessed just north of downtown Tuckerton passed the shores of Pohatcong Lake on North Green Street, or County Road 539. Greenwood Cemetery is located just past Nugentown Road on the east side of the highway.
